Gerbert Cheddar

Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy from this site. They don't affect your legal rights as a consumer.

1. About us

This shop is run by Harry Webb, a sole trader, trading as Gerbert Cheddar.

We're not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to our prices.

2. What you're buying

  • Each shirt is printed to order and posted by our print partner, Printful.
  • Colours on a screen can look slightly different from the real fabric and ink.

3. Prices and payment

  • Prices are in pounds sterling.
  • Shipping is free to the UK and EU. Elsewhere, shipping is charged at what our printer charges us, shown before you pay.
  • Payment is taken by Stripe when you place your order.
  • Some countries outside the UK and EU charge import duty or taxes when a parcel arrives. Those are paid by you.

4. Your contract with us

Our contract starts when your payment goes through and you receive your order confirmation email.

5. Delivery

Delivery times are estimates, listed on the shipping and returns page. If your parcel hasn't arrived within 30 days of dispatch, email us and we'll send a replacement.

6. Changing your mind

You can cancel within 14 days of receiving your shirt, without giving a reason. This is your right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

  • To cancel: email hello@gerbertcheddar.com with your order number.
  • Sending it back: post the shirt to the address we give you within 14 days of telling us. Return postage is paid by you.
  • Your refund: we refund the price and the standard shipping you paid, within 14 days of getting the shirt back (or proof you've posted it, if sooner), using the payment method you used.
  • Condition: the shirt should be unworn and unwashed. If it's been used beyond trying it on, we can reduce the refund to reflect that.

7. Faulty, damaged or wrong items

If your shirt arrives misprinted, damaged, faulty, or not what you ordered, we'll replace it free, or refund you if you prefer. Email us with your order number and a photo, ideally within 30 days of delivery. This doesn't limit your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

8. Under 18?

You're welcome to buy from us. Please ask a parent or guardian before you do.

9. The design

The Gerbert Cheddar name and designs are used under licence. Buying a shirt doesn't give you the right to copy the design or sell it.

10. Our responsibility to you

  • What we're responsible for: loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to take reasonable care.
  • What we're not responsible for: loss that wasn't foreseeable, or business losses. Our shirts are for personal use.
  • What these terms don't change: our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to exclude.

11. Complaints

Email hello@gerbertcheddar.com and we'll reply within 5 working days.

12. The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts. If you live in the EU, you keep the protections your own country's consumer law gives you.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one on the site when you placed it.
